The third project coordination meeting was held at the EDEA-CICE Demonstrators in Cáceres. This time we have been accompanied by our official European coordinator.
During this meeting we reviewed the evolution of the seven actions of the project, analyzing the progress made in the tasks and the problems encountered during its development.
After the meeting, we visited the EDEA-CICE Demonstrators, built in 2009 with the “EDEA Project: Efficient Development of Eco-Architecture: Methods and Technologies for Public Social Housing Building in Extremadura”. These are two identical detached houses, which follow the model of social housing developed in Extremadura. One of them, known as “master housing”, was built with the constructive solution commonly used in social housing in the region. In the second, known as “experimental housing”, different measures of sustainability and energy efficiency are tested. The relation of behavior between both houses allows to obtain comparative data of the systems and technologies tested, in real scale.

The LIFE ReNatural NZEB Project aims to demonstrate and promote new solutions to achieve Nearly Zero Energy Buildings with low carbon footprint, using natural and recycled materials, in Spain and Portugal.
